Summer Lessons at ScottSound Music

Keeping the skills you have learned in the study of your musical instrument intact is very important to your progress in learning to play.  Summer is not only a time for vacations and travel and some down time from the school year, it is also a great time to have some fun with a different approach to learning to play music.

It is very important that when possible, students take lessons throughout the summer when they are not away on vacation to keep their skill level maintained.  Typically students that do not take any lessons from June through August are about six weeks to two months behind in the fall when they began playing again.

An easy solution is to leave the student scheduled for a summer lesson time and just inform your teacher of your vacation plans. When you're in town schedule the student for lessons to keep their skill level intact.

Rock it to the Stars is back at ScottSound Music

ScottSound Music's "Rock it to the Stars" ensemble performance program is back this summer. Students will be grouped in rock bands according to their playing level and rehearse and present a performance at the end of the summer.

To join a group, contact Studio Manager, Bevy Boyer at ScottSound Music at 972-248-9006.
