The Ballistics perform lite rock, country, jazz, blues and originals for your listening, dancing and dining pleasure.

The Ballistics provide a variety of music including jazz, swing, blues, lite rock and country.  The band also plays originals written by Whitfield.  In the group he plays guitar, banjo and sings.

The unusual slant the Ballistics has is the "Ballistic Banjo".  Whitfield has developed an approach to this instrument that enables it to function well in newer styles of music.  The tenor and plectrum banjos used in this act are one of a kind designs especially for Whitfield and his music.

The Ballistics have performed on stage for The Guthrie Jazz Banjo Festival in Guthrie, OK., Fort Worth Main Street Arts Festival, Ft. Worth, TX., The Lancaster Musicfest, and other special events.

Due to his Ballistics' effort, Scott was nominated in 1994 and for the Trailblazer Award by Airplay International, Nashville, Tennessee. In 1995 Scott was inducted in the elite of Texas music as a "Texas Tornado" along with Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings.

Scott and the Ballistics have been featured in "Buddy Magazine", The Texas Music Magazine, "Frets Magazine", The Fretted Instrument Guild of America's Publication, "The Jazz Banjo Magazine", an internet publication and "The Resonator", an international banjo publication.  Scott & The Ballistics have also been feature and front page headlines in "The Logan County Ledger", Guthrie, OK., and "The Daily Oklahoman".

The Ballistics are to say the least, a very hot, eclectic, variety band.
